After the Philharmonie de Paris and Paris Expo Porte de Versailles as part of Cercle Odyssey, Max Richter returns to the capital with two atypical performances not to be missed at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. A Parisian monument that the German-British pianist, composer and arranger/producer knows well, having already given three shows there in 2023 and 2024.
This time, Max Richter returns with artist Yulia Mahr to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his famous opus"Sleep". On the program? Two nocturnal performances on Friday November 14 and Saturday November 15, 2025.
Max Richter is renowned for his many sublime compositions, including " November ", " On the nature of daylight " and " Mercy ". The post-minimalist artist is also responsible for a host of famous film scores, including those for " Waltz with Bashir ", " Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots " and " Ad Astra ", as well as the series " The Leftovers " and " L'Amie prodigieuse ".
As for his opus"Sleep", it was released on September 4, 2015. A concept album that focuses on the neuroscience of sleep,"Sleep" was conceived in the form of a lullaby, hence its title and length meant to be a night's sleep, lasting just over 8:24 in total.
After an unusual concert at London's Alexandra Palace last September, where over 900 beds and glittering lamps were installed in the hall for the occasion, Max Richter is now offering two new nocturnal performances based on his album"Sleep". To enjoy this original musical experience in Paris, come to the Fondation Louis Vuitton on November 14 and 15, 2025. Tickets open this Thursday, September 25 at 10am.
