For those who may be less familiar, it's worth noting that Cypress Hill was formed in Los Angeles back in 1986, bringing together Latino rappers Sen Dog, Mellow Man Ace, Muggs, and B-Real. Their early albums were genuine hits, especially their self-titled debut released in 1991, propelled by iconic singles like "How I Could Just Kill a Man" and "The Phuncky Feel One." They followed up with the critically acclaimed Black Sunday in 1993, which sold over 3.25 million copies, and III – Temples of Boom in 1995. After that period, members focused on solo projects before returning with albums that veered toward rock or even reggae, with mixed success. Notably, Elephants on Acid came out in 2018 to positive reviews, and Back In Black was released in 2022.

As a testament to their fame, the American band was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019. Come summer 2024, Cypress Hill once again made headlines by performing alongside the London Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall — a concert foretold nearly three decades earlier in an episode of The Simpsons!
