Looking to enjoy great music while supporting a meaningful cause? Join us at the Théâtre du Châtelet on Sunday, February 15, 2026 for a benefit concert titled "Protest Songs." Originating from an idea by Raphaële Lannadère, aka L, this evening will showcase a lineup of talented artists, including the widely acclaimed Pomme and musician Thomas de Pourquery, all performing on the Parisian stage to support a great cause.
On January 15th, at the Théâtre du Châtelet, catch the talented Alma Rechtman, the singer-songwriter and composer, alongside Blick Bassy, the Cameroonian singer, producer, guitarist, and percussionist, as well as musician Green Chien. Together, they will perform powerful songs rooted in themes of resistance and solidarity, sung in multiple languages.
Note that the proceeds will be donated to SOS Méditerranée, the European civilian organization dedicated to maritime rescue. Founded in the spring of 2015, SOS Méditerranée aims to assist anyone in distress at sea, "without discrimination and with dignity", all in accordance with international maritime law.
The concept of "Protest Songs" was born in 2017. That year, the Maison de la Poésie gave artist Raphaële Lannadère a carte blanche. She invited three musician friends, and together they crafted a repertoire of a cappella protest songs. The first installment of the "Protest Songs" album was created in collaboration with Jeanne Added, Camélia Jordana, and Sandra Nkaké. Since then, "Protest Songs 2" has been released, featuring this time Blick Bassy, Pomme, Alma Rechtman, Thomas de Pourquery, and Green Chien. These artists are set to take the stage at the Théâtre du Châtelet on February 15th for a charity concert organized in support of SOS Mediterrannée.
