The prestigious Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra (DAAYO) will perform in Paris for a special concert on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM in the majestic setting of the Madeleine Church.
Made up of talented young musicians from Texas, this American orchestra, renowned for its artistic excellence, will offer Paris audiences a rich and immersive musical experience that blends major works from the classique, musiques contemporaines repertoire and international cultural influences.
Under the monumental arches of the Church of La Madeleine, this concert will take on a special dimension, propelled by the energy, sensitivity, and commitment of a new generation of international musicians.
Directed by Angela Sledge and Matthew Moreno, the Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra will present a varied program bringing together works by Robert W. Smith, Derek Zhao, Elmer Bernstein, Leroy Anderson, Camille Saint-Saëns, Beethoven, Léo Delibes, and Joe Hisaishi.
Between orchestral classics and works infused with contemporary and cinematic influences, this concert invites listeners on a genuine musical journey, accessible to everyone.
Since its founding in 1998, the Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra has enriched the cultural and musical life of North Texas youth through instruction, orchestral rehearsals, and international tours. Today, the organization brings together more than 260 students across multiple ensembles.
DAAYO is also renowned for its cultural openness and its commitment to weaving in works from Asian musical traditions into the Western classical repertoire.
