Paris La Défense Arena: how to get to the venue? What you need to know before coming
Europe's largest indoor venue is located in Paris, not far from the Grande Arche de La Défense. Throughout the year, the Paris La Défense Arena hosts numerous concerts, shows and sporting events. Planning to go there soon? Here are a few practical tips to help you prepare your visit and get to the Paris La Défense Arena easily. [Read more]
Paris La Défense Arena has multiple entrances, with access different depending on your seat. Likewise, “the color code on your ticket (yellow, red or purple) helps you navigate more easily, but it does not constitute a mandatory checkpoint at security,” says the Île-de-France venue, which advises you to head directly to the entrances listed below:
Heads up: access points vary from concert to concert. Check your ticket to find the right entrance.

On its website, Paris La Défense Arena reveals the list of items banned at concerts, “in accordance with the regulations governing public-venue facilities.” The ban includes “any dangerous or illicit item, bulky, that could be used as a projectile and could pose a risk to spectators, visitors, artists or could be diverted from its use for malicious ends,” such as containers and receptacles (including metal or glass bottles), backpacks (with a capacity exceeding 10 litres) and travel bags, helmets, alcoholic beverages, non‑retractable umbrellas, any rolling object, as well as cameras and video cameras without authorization and posters larger than A3.
However, for this concert, laptops and tablets up to 15 inches are permitted, along with one small accessory—a bag, purse, or satchel under 10 litres. Given the forecast heat, refillable plastic misting devices, hand fans, small portable fans, and sunscreen are also allowed, as are 1.5-litre plastic water bottles. You can find all of this information on the Paris La Défense Arena site.
After the concert, it's best to head to La Défense station (Line 1 / RER A) if you're planning to return to Paris.
For all other directions, head to La Défense station for Transilien Line L. "If you’re travelling by public transport towards Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Cergy and Poissy, you can go to Nanterre Préfecture station and take the RER A", says Paris La Défense Arena.
Have a great concert, everyone!
