The Kazakh Abaï National Opera and Ballet Theatre is bringing together about a hundred artists (singers and musicians) from Kazakhstan. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about this Central Asian country! This concert, on Friday, September 18, will be held at a landmark venue: the UNESCO House. Come in large numbers: admission is free, but registration is required.

The The Abai Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Almaty presents the concert “La Voix d'une époque,” dedicated to the centenary of Yermek Serkebayev, the legendary Kazakh baritone and People’s Artist of Kazakhstan. His jubilee is listed among anniversaries celebrated in association with UNESCO for 2026-2027, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to global musical culture.

The leading soloists of the Theatre, its symphony orchestra and its choir will bring this artist's legacy to life through the Kazakh and global classical repertoire. A highlight of the evening: the performance of the renowned violinist Zhamilya Serkebayeva, the artist's niece, continuing the musical dynasty.

Opera lovers, fans of lyrical art, and the curious are invited on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 7:00 PM to the UNESCO headquarters at UNESCO, 125 Avenue de Suffren, 75007 Paris.

Invitation-only entry. Access to the UNESCO House is subject to prior accreditation: registration required by September 11, 2026. A photo ID will be required at the entrance. No admission will be possible without prior registration, nor after the deadline. Space is limited, and requests will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
