Les Folies Gruss present their equestrian musical comedy and vaudeville show in Paris until March 28, 2027. The 2026–2027 season unfolds in a brand-new venue at the Carrefour des Cascades, in the Bois de Boulogne.

Les Folies Gruss are back in Paris for the 2026-2027 season, running until March 28, 2027. The company presents an equestrian musical spectacular and circus cabaret in a new venue at the Carrefour des Cascades, right in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne. The show fuses riding artistry, aerial feats and live music; a meal package is available to book before the performance.

Les Folies Gruss sticks with its three-part formula: a pre-show with dining and live music, the main performance, and an after-show to mingle with the artists. For this new Paris season, the company unveils a next-generation format, with redesigned acoustics and a refreshed set design.

Founded in 1974, the Alexis Gruss Company continues to pass on its equestrian know-how and the art of the show ring. The Paris season brings together horses, performers, and a live orchestra.

From their modest beginnings in 1974 with a big top in the courtyard of the Hôtel Salé, to the lawn at Saint-Cloud after the 1999 storm, the Folies Gruss have called 17 sites home. Yet one constant remains: their unbreakable tie to Paris. This Parisian arc symbolizes not only a rich past but a story that is continually evolving.

Over these five decades, three generations have been committed to preserving and developing equestrian heritage and the art of the ring. With a cavalry of 50 horses and an effervescence of 50 original creations, the Folies Gruss have always been at the forefront of innovation. The result is Folies Gruss in 2019, offering much more than just a show, but total immersion with the artists.

The artistic direction remains in the hands of Stephan Gruss. For this season, equestrian artistry teams up with musical theatre, vaudeville tableaux, and choreography. The new Parisian venue invites spectators to gather around the arena, with updated lighting and a refreshed stage design.

When Firmin, Stephan and Maud took over the reins in 2019, they breathed new life into the venue, inspired by the Années Folles. Live music, home-cooked food and a family welcome create an unforgettable atmosphere for spectators, through pre-show, show and aftershow.

The company is led by Firmin Gruss, with Stephan Gruss responsible for artistic direction and Maud Gruss in charge of the cavalry unit.

Renowned for its quality, the Compagnie Alexis Gruss has long stood as a beacon in the world of equestrian theatre since its founding in 1974. Labeled Cirque National from 1983 to 1987, the company continues to push the boundaries of its beloved art. Today, the fifth Gruss generation, led by Stephan, Firmin and Maud, proudly upholds the brand’s values and traditions while preparing the sixth generation for what lies ahead.

In 50 years, the Folies Gruss have not only safeguarded an enduring heritage but have continually reinvented themselves. Now they cast a forward-looking gaze, inviting everyone to discover and savor their artistry. Why not experience it yourself—with family or friends—and let the magic of the Folies Gruss transport you?

Programme of the show :

Bon à savoir : meals can be booked separately or as part of a package with the show. Children under 3 ride free on an adult's lap; the company asks that they wear hearing protection. Strollers should be left at the reception.
