Grandeur Nature invites children 3 years and up to explore a world where proportions shift. Designed by Magalie Nadaud, this show is presented at the The Théâtre Paris-Villette from October 18 to November 1, 2026 for performances open to the public during the All Saints' Day holidays.
In his room, a child commands a miniature universe. He can bring objects to life and reshape his surroundings. But his parents’ arrival flips the scale: the boy who seemed colossal is suddenly small in the adult world. The production leans into this shift in perspective to explore the child’s place and his freedom to imagine.
Theatre, video, puppetry, the plastic arts, and sound design come together in this wordless, dialogue-free experience. As the laureate of the La Couveuse program, devoted to new writing for early childhood, the piece is touted as accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences as well as those whose first language is not French.
Each screening lasts 50 minutes. A family stop-motion film workshop, led by Sterenn Guirriec, rounds out the program on October 31 from 2 to 4 p.m., ahead of the 5 p.m. show. It is suitable for ages 4 and up, booking required, at a rate of 5 euros per participant.
