Everything takes place on Christmas Eve, in little Clara's family. We discover the house, the guests, the tree, the presents, as well as her godfather, Drosselmeyer, who gives her a Nutcracker, a small traditional wooden figurine from Eastern Germany. The little girl loves the toy and gradually embarks on a fantastic story, where a battle breaks out between the Rat King and his toy, The Nutcracker.
Adapting a ballet classic for the youngest: this is the ambition of Karl Paquette, star dancer of the Paris Opera, who is also the artistic director of the show, and who wanted to make young audiences aware of ballet dance from the age of 6. Once upon a time, there was The Nutcracker is presented from April 19 to 30 at the Théâtre du Châtelet. Sessions take place all week long, from Tuesday to Sunday, at 3:00 pm, 7:00 pm or 8:00 pm, with a large part of the sessions in the afternoon, during the Easter vacations.
