La métaphore des cigognes, a one-man show, can be seen at the Pépinière Théâtre in Paris's 2nd arrondissement , every Saturday at 5pm until April 30, 2024. Directed by Benjamin Guillard, who already won the Molière for best one-man show with Vous n'aurez pas ma haine in 2018, La métaphore des cigognes is written by Marc Arnaud and performed by Antoine Gouy .

This one-man show tells the story of a man trapped between 4 walls with only an empty cup in front of him. Over the course of an hour, the actor shares his feelings and concerns about the protocol required to carry out in vitro fertilization with his wife. In a sordid situation, we find ourselves in an imaginary world created by the locked-in main character. The one-man show is interspersed with appearances by characters whose purpose is to help the actor carry out his mission.

La métaphore des cigognes was a huge success, winning the Molière for best one-man show in 2022. Marc Arnaud is acclaimed for the finesse and poetry of his writing, which manages to play down a subject without giving the audience any right or wrong answers. The show, performed by Marc Arnaud in 2022, returns with actor Antoine Gouy taking over the stage.

La métaphore des cigognes runs at the Pépinière Théâtre every Saturday at 5 p.m. until April 30, 2024.
