Benjamin Millepied: three performances at the Folies Bergère

Benjamin Millepied brings together three new works at the Folies Bergère in Paris, running from 9 to 29 November 2026. The program weaves dance, song, and storytelling through Barbara, Du bout des lèvres, Summerland, and Move Me Once More. The pieces are staged in rotation: each show has its own ticketing, with options to bundle two performances in the same evening.

Three worlds centered on dance and music

With Barbara, Du bout des lèvres, announced for 9 to 22 November, the choreographer builds from Barbara's songs. The performers bring to life the themes that run through her repertoire, from memory to passion, in a spare staging. The piece rests on the dialogue between the singer's words, her music, and the presence of the dancers.

Summerland, running from November 24 to 29, centers on the world of November Ultra, who composes and performs the music. The title nods to a Californian city. In a bright space inspired by James Turrell’s horizons, the ballet fuses voice, color and movement.

Move Me Once More draws on the cabaret tradition. Benjamin Millepied choreographs and directs it, with a libretto co-written with filmmaker Léa Mysius. The story follows River, played by Noée Abita, a young woman examined in a world under surveillance. Her memories unleash a love story and a community living on the margins of the established rules.

Dance, performance, roller skating and pole dancing collide in this third show, with costumes by Laurie Stark for Chrome Hearts. The soundtrack spans generations, from Edith Piaf to Radiohead, including Prince, Sade and Queen.

This program offers a look at multiple facets of Benjamin Millepied’s craft, all under one roof. The calendar and booking options are available on the Folies Bergère official site. Ticket prices vary by piece: Barbara, Du bout des lèvres is listed from €25, and Move Me Once More from €35.
