The corset has shaped women's bodies over the centuries. After its heyday during the Renaissance, the undergarment fell into disuse in the twentieth century, finally judged as an instrument of torture. Strongly inspired by the painting and decorative style of the time, Vivienne Westwood decided to bring the corset back into fashion in 1987. With her avant-garde eye, the designer would redefine and modernize the codes of the accessory, forging the foundations of her eponymous brand's iconic punk & baroque style in the process.

Theretrospective exhibition immerses us in the House's exceptional archives, metamorphosing the boutique into a veritable little fashion museum. From the first version of the tartan print corset to the one decorated with a canvas, through the more contemporary creations ofAndreas Konthraler, the brand's artistic director since 2016, the design techniques are revealed before your eyes during this exceptional immersive visit to the world of the designer who died at the end of 2022.
