Nestled in the picturesque Cité Véron, behind the Moulin Rouge, the illustrious French poet 's historic apartment opens its doors to the public for the first time.

Like an ode to curiosity, the "Les furtifs" exhibition invites contemporary artists to engage in a dialogue with the world of Jacques Prévert, in the very intimacy of his apartment. The works breathe new life into the poet's cocoon and awaken the senses of visitors. Let yourself be transported by this timeless visit, where past and present, modern and contemporary rub shoulders on the same shelf, the same wall...

More than a cultural discovery, a real exploration takes shape along the different rooms of the historic site! Visitors will discover Picasso's portrait of Prévert, works on wood by Emilienne Delacroix, a miniature by Aurélia Zahedi, ceramics by Asger Jorn, and a site-specific installation by Eugénie Bachelot Prévert. Designs by Stéphanie Saadé and Ugo Rondinone add a modern touch to the ensemble, while assemblages by Daniel Spoerri, Claude Viallat and Eric Bauer resonate with Prévert's surrealist sculptures and collages.

In this striking artistic landscape, a postcard by On Kawara echoes Prévert's Ephémérides, a gilded bronze by Quentin Derouet immortalizes the footsteps of a dinosaur, and Pauline-Rose Dumas's dial hands add a touch of poetry to the atmosphere of the place.

Theexhibition also mixes icons on canvas or wood by Mathilde Denize, Erin Lawlor and Flora Moscovici, with colorful works by Calder, Miró and Robert Malaval. Every object, whether everyday or not, becomes a work of art in Jacques Prévert's Apartment, where the boundary between the banal and the marvellous becomes blurred.
