Many cyclists ply the streets of the capital every day, armed with their trusty steed, whether it belongs to the city or is in their possession. In a photographic exhibition, the Town Hall of the 7th arrondissement of Paris is showcasing some twenty women on bicycles, through colorful portraits that tell the story of their use of this means of transport, which is as useful as it is sporty. From February 29 to March 13, 2024, rediscover this daily practice through the eyes of these women, whether simple users, enthusiasts or adventurers!
"According to Eva Cordioli, project leader, the bicycleis not just a tool for getting around, but can also be a passion and a means to self-fulfilment through sport. Immortalized by Nicola Fioravanti, a street photographer and cyclist himself, these images invite us to discover and share stories. A project supported by the Association Soroptimist International Club Paris Fondateur, an organization committed to supporting and improving the living conditions of women in a variety of fields.
To coincide with the exhibition, a social bike outing is being organized around the theme "Femme, Sport, Santé, Mobilité", on achoice of tworoutes: 20 or 40 kilometers, depending on your level! Saddle up!
