It's a well-known rendez-vous forcontemporary art lovers, a landmark event every autumn. The Art Basel Paris fair, which showcases French and international contemporary art, returns to the Grand Palais from October 24 to 26, 2025.
As always, in addition to the fair, which brings together hundreds of art galleries, there's a wide range of events taking place throughout Paris. Exhibitions, installations, performances: several events (often free of charge) are organized in emblematic venues around the capital, to prolong this cultural event.
TheHôtel de la Marine is also taking part in Art Basel Paris. From October 10 to November 2, 2025, the monument will host a brand-new artistic installation. The work can be visited free of charge during this period: it's a good deal not to be missed!
This year, Hôtel de la Marine honors Jöel Andrianomearisoa, an artist from Madagascar, who draws inspiration from his island's history and traditions to create colorful textile works that evoke nature. During Art Basel Paris, Jöel Andrianomearisoa presents a work that recalls both the arts and culture of Madagascar, but also the bounty of nature and its benefits.
