Throughout the year, the capital hosts fairs and events that celebrate cultures from around the world. The Un week-end à l'Est festival highlights the cultures of Eastern Europe.
This artistic event is back from November 18 to December 1, 2025, in 24 different venues across Paris's 6th arrondissement . Museums, art galleries, churches, schools, bookshops, theaters, and cinemas are opening their doors to the public for this unique festival. For this 9th edition, Un week-end à l'Est is giving pride of place to Romania, and more specifically to its capital, Bucharest. The festival's patron, filmmaker Cristian Mungiu, aims to reveal all the facets and identities of Romania through a variety of artistic events.
Through exhibitions, concerts, film and documentary screenings, meetings, shows, and debates, the festival invites us to discover the richness and diversity of an Eastern European country, far from the clichés.
