L'atelier Manessier: the French painter's studio-museum in Emancé, Yvelines (78)

In Emancé, in the Yvelines region (78), lies an extraordinary place... thestudio of Alfred Manessier, master glassmaker and non-figurative painter of the 20th century. Here, light and color intertwine to tell the story of an artist deeply attached to the landscapes of the Baie de Somme, the Picardy coastline and the ports of the North, which he immortalized on his canvases.

Manessier captured the changing reflections of the river and transformed them into colorful vibrations. His studio, his creative space, is now a veritable showcase where his luminous universe comes to life.

Open from May to September by prior arrangement, the studio can be visited by small groups of up to 15 people, or on your own. The guided tour includes an introduction to the artist's living and creative environment, a selection of works with commentary, and the garden and landscapes that inspired him.
