Forever Young: the MAC VAL celebrates its 20th anniversary with a symbolic exhibition

In 2005, a new museum dedicated to contemporary art opened its doors in the Val-de-Marne. 20 years later, the MAC VAL continues to broaden our artistic horizons with its exhibitions and varied programming. To celebrate this anniversary, the museum invites us to discover a special exhibition, from June 14, 2025 to January 4, 2026: come and visit Forever Young.

The MAC VAL has brought together 20 contemporary artists, most of whom are between 30 and 20 years old, for a resolutely modern exhibition based on the themes of our time. Each artist offers his or her own unique vision of the world, personal history and style. We admire photographs, sculptures, paintings, drawings, videos, installations...

At the heart of this journey, of all these works, is of course the MAC VAL, the main character of this celebration. The museum, its architecture, its visitors and its artists are the focus of this multi-faceted exhibition. The creators exhibiting in Forever Young all have a special link with the museum of contemporary art: the influence and importance of this museum is therefore also highlighted.

For this anniversary exhibition, the Paris-based museum has decided not to dwell on the past, but instead to look to the future. By inviting young talents to collaborate, the MAC VAL is investing in what's new, in what art can become in the years to come.
