Halloween is over, and yet we still find unusual monsters that have invaded a Paris art gallery... From December 4, 2025, to January 10, 2026, the Daniel Maghen Gallery welcomes Stan Manoukian and his monsters for an original and fantastic exhibition.
The free exhibition Monstrologie immerses us in the original universe of French cartoonist and scriptwriter Stan Manoukian. Author of several comic books, Stan Manoukian has created a whole bestiary of monsters, some more friendly than others... These extraordinary creatures, somewhere between fantasy, gothic and marvelous, appeal to children and adults alike.
For this exhibition, the Daniel Maghen Gallery has brought together more than 300 drawings, large-scale illustrations, sculptures, and sketches. The exhibition traces 15 years of work and creation, 15 years of cute or dangerous monsters. Stan Manoukian draws inspiration fromfolk tales andstories, which he reinterprets in his own way, offering a modern and offbeat take on these stories and the monsters described in them.
Stan Manoukian works with pencil, ink, or graphite: his drawings retain a wonderful, childlike quality, while also possessing a sometimes serious depth. These techniques also allow him to create a thousand details that bring the characters to life. The artist stages his monsters in elaborate settings, constructing an entire world and story for each creature.
If you are curious and love drawing, come and play the explorer and immerse yourself in this universe populated by monsters. The free Monstrologyexhibition may surprise you!
