The Arc de Triomphe is taking part in the 2026 edition of Printemps du Dessin by hosting a unique exhibition, open to visitors from March 21 to April 19, 2026.

The Printemps du Dessin is a major cultural event taking place nationwide from March to June. During this period, hundreds of cultural and artistic venues showcase the world of drawing, through exhibitions, artist encounters, workshops, performances, lectures, and guided walks... The goal of this event is to introduce the public to the expansive universe of contemporary drawing and to inspire curiosity and appreciation for art and creativity among all visitors.

In Paris and throughout Île-de-France, numerous museums, monuments, and workshops are taking part in this event. Among them is the iconic Arc de Triomphe, which will host a new exhibition from March 21 to April 19, 2026.

This iconic historic monument, towering at the top of the Champs-Elysées, is more than just a landmark—it's a vibrant hub of life and art accessible to all in Paris. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy children’s workshops, themed tours, lectures, and much more. The site also hosts exhibitions, such as the ongoing Printemps du Dessin. Admission to these exhibitions is included with your ticket to the monument, and it’s recommended to book your visit in advance to secure your spot.

What's on Offer During the Spring of Drawing at the Arc de Triomphe:

  • A Spotlight on Camille Chastang
This temporary exhibition unfolds as an immersive installation combining wallpaper, works on paper, and ceramics. It explores the decorative splendor of the Arc de Triomphe while unveiling its sensitive and organic dimension. The monument’s sculpted ornaments serve as a powerful symbolic vocabulary, originally celebrating military victory, army glory, and national remembrance. Dominating the Attic Room, the palm motifs symbolize both triumph and homage — elevating the stone into a solemn and commemorative register.
In dialogue with these motifs, Camille Chastang’s work highlights their emotional and political significance. The ornament transforms into a carrier of stories, silences, and absences — notably the absence of women, whose flowers and palms have never been featured at the foot of the monument. Situated in the Palm Room, the piece questions the political and poetic dimensions of ornament, and more broadly, the presence and absence of women within this iconic heritage site. Camille Chastang thus forges a subtle connection between the personal and the monumental, between decoration and memory.

  • Drawing the Exhibition: Workshops with Camille Chastang
    Saturday, March 28 and April 4 — 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
