Half a century of celebrating cakes and candles... But also fifty years of inspiring generations of children to discover art through the Musée en Herbe. This kid-friendly art space, designed especially for children aged 3 and up, is marking its 50th anniversary in Paris. With artist collaborations, lively parades, egg hunts, bingo, and a pop-up exhibition-shop, check out the exciting lineup of festivities planned for the celebration.
The Musée en Herbe invites visitors to mark their calendars from April 3 to 6, 2026 for a grand free celebration open to all. Looking back on 50 years of exhibitions, encounters, and activities, the museum is set to showcase a series of exciting highlights designed to delight both today's children and those of the past.
Among the must-see events, don’t miss the time capsule exhibition highlighting around sixty unforgettable shows held at the Musée en Herbe since 1975. Art enthusiasts can also explore a unique pop-up sale and enjoy live performances by renowned artists such as Speedy Graphito, MonkeyBird, Seth, and Jérôme Mesnager.
Young visitors enjoy creative workshops, an artistic scavenger hunt, a fun Easter egg hunt, and even a face painting stand... All these activities are free of charge. Thirty renowned street artists have been given free rein to flood the museum walls with their work during live performances: ARDPG, BAULT, CHANOIR, DA CRUZ, EVAZESIR, JEAN FAUCHEUR, JOACHIM ROMAIN, JO DI BONA, JO LITTLE, JORDANE SAGET, KATRE, KOUKA, LEVALET, JÉRÔME MESNAGER, MARKO 93, MOSKO, NASTY, FRANCK NOTO, JÉROME THOMAS, SPEEDY GRAPHITO, LADY M, L’ATLAS, LE CYKLOP, MADAME, MONKEYBIRD, PURE EVIL, RERO, SETH, STEW, TANC.
Some artists will host workshops, meet-and-greet sessions, signings, and sell exclusive merchandise.
- Time Capsule:
Through archives, interactive games, a reading corner featuring all art books from Musée en Herbe, and special workshops in the exhibition halls, visitors will explore around 60 iconic exhibitions that have defined the museum since 1975.
A "Wall of Ideas" dedicated to the museum’s future will invite visitors to contribute: “Serious Ideas,” “Wild Desires,” or “Artists’ Corner”… It’s your chance to help shape the future of Musée en Herbe!
- The Explosion! :
A spectacular pop-up sale featuring 200 artists, each offering a piece in a 20 x 20 cm format—200 reasons to fall in love. Musée en Herbe proudly showcases and honors all the artists who've played a role in its legacy. They’ve shaped the museum’s story and now they’ll decorate your walls!
Artists will set their prices. All proceeds will be shared between the museum and the artists.
- Prints: A Big Step in Building Your First Art Collection!
Ten urban artists, exclusive prints, and a bold vision: making art accessible for all by helping families start their first collection with limited editions (100 copies at €100 each).
Funds raised will be divided between the museum and participating artists.
- Let’s Make Music! A lively FANFARE will kick off the festivities!
- A TOMBOL’ART will be held online, giving visitors a chance to win exclusive experiences with artists and many prizes.
