It's an event just as essential for kids as it is for parents—a quirky gathering that brings a touch of nature back to Paris. On the weekend of April 11 and 12, 2026, don’t miss the Wool Festival held at La Villette Farm, in the 19th arrondissement.
The sheep and lambs are taking over the farm’s fields, much to the delight of the little ones. This lively scene offers a perfect chance to learn more about the role of , as well as insights into how wool is used—from the fleece of sheep to the cozy garments made from spun wool.
This weekend, the focus is on farms and rural life at La Villette, with a packed lineup of free activities for all to enjoy! Visitors can take part in creative workshops, watch live demonstrations of sheep shearing, and, most exciting of all, witness the spectacular transhumance of the Vernopâture solognote sheep flock transported through the region!
Once again this year, visitors can come see the flock of around forty Solognese ewes and their lambs on display at La Villette for the weekend. This seasonal migration also signals the arrival of spring and the start of a new cycle in nature.
Be sure not to miss out on a visit to the Villette Farm during your trip! Rabbits, donkeys, goats, chickens... A variety of animals of all kinds await you there. Head over to Villette Farm with your family this April weekend in 2026.
