Fresh off its debut, the Grand Palais Summer is set to return for a second edition! Starting June 2, 2026, the stunning Parisian monument plans to transform its nave into a vibrant hub for contemporary art, featuring dance performances, theater, and various live acts. The Grand Palais also announces a retrospective dedicated to Leandro Erlich.
Following exhibitions in Tokyo, Miami, and Milan, the Argentine artist will take over Galleries 9 and 10 at the Grand Palais from June 2 to September 6, 2026. This upcoming show promises to challenge our notions of reality and perception in ways that are sure to intrigue and perplex visitors alike.
Born in Argentina in 1973, Leandro Erlic now divides his time between Paris, Buenos Aires, and Montevideo. His international reputation is reflected in his works, which have been exhibited across the globe. Several pieces are part of prestigious permanent collections, including the Museo de Arte Moderno in Buenos Aires, The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, London’s Tate Modern, and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. A true conceptual artist, Leandro Erlic probes the foundations of our perception of reality and invites viewers to actively participate in constructing meaning.
From June 2 to September 6, 2026, the Grand Palais will host, for the very first time, the work of Leandro Erlic, blending installation art, sculpture, and architecture. For this retrospective in Paris, visitors will be taken on a journey described as "gradual." Fourteen specially designed installations, hailed as "monumental and iconic," will be on view in galleries 9 and 10 of the venue. Floating boats, clouds suspended in midair, or a horizontally tilted Haussmann-style building that can be climbed... Leandro Erlic creates unsettling situations that challenge our sense of orientation and reshape our experience of space. Through this exhibition, the artist aims to question how we perceive reality itself.
Mark your calendars from June 2 to September 6, 2026, at the Grand Palais for an upcoming retrospective dedicated to Leandro Erlic. Please note that tickets will go on sale starting April 14, 2026. The Parisian museum also warns that "some artworks may require a wait."
