The Grand Palais d’été is set to return on June 2, 2026, with a new edition that promises to be just as exciting as the last. Over the course of two months, the iconic Parisian venue will transform its nave into a vibrant modern stage hosting a mix of theater, dance, concerts, and performances.
Among the must-see events, one is sure to make some noise. Picture this: 100 drummers from diverse backgrounds coming together in the Nef of the Grand Palais to perform a symphony composed and conducted by Lucie Antunes. This is what awaits you on the evening of Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Both a composer, musician, performer, artistic director, and stage director, Lucie Antunes has been juggling numerous projects and collaborations for several years now. After teaming up as a drummer-percussionist with groups like Moodoïd and Aquaserge, as well as working with Susheela Raman and Yuksek, Lucie Antunes ventured into creating electro-acoustic pieces in 2015, culminating in her debut album, Sergeï, in 2019. Four years later, she released Carnaval, her second studio album. Following a mystical night at La Cité de la Musique in 2023 and her involvement with the collective Draga, alongside P.R2B, Theodora Delilez, Narumi Herisson, and Anna Mouglalis, Lucie Antunes continues to surprise and inspire.
This time, the musician and composer introduces us to "Symphony of Tribalism in Four Movements", described as a "trance-inspired work". The concept? Bring together 100 strangers who may not know each other but share a common passion for music. This seventeen-minute performance, directed by Lucie Antunes, offers a unique chance to experience a fleeting community united through a powerful collective journey.
To celebrate the occasion, two shows will be held on June 27th; the first at 9 p.m. and the second at 10 p.m. This musical performance is free of charge, but tickets must be reserved. So, if you're interested in experiencing this, don't delay—grab your tickets now and secure your spot.
