The fashion is pulling out all the stops… and stepping off the rack! On 9, 10, 11 and 13 April 2026, it takes over an elegant Haussmann-era apartment in the 8th arrondissement of Paris for a free fashion exhibition as sharp as it is desirable. dreamed up by Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr, this pre-auction showcase offers a close-up look at rare pieces, between haute couture and exceptional footwear. A fashion pit stop to note in your calendar before the sale on April 14.
From the moment you step inside, the setting does the talking: mouldings, wrought iron, volumes, soft light... the Parisian display has what it takes to elevate the garments. You move freely, up close to the clothes, to study cuts, fabrics and details. Haute couture reveals here its most tangible side: a study in line, structure, and the hand that shapes it.
On the wardrobe side, the lineup brings together big names: Elsa Schiaparelli, Chanel, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, but also Jeanne Lanvin, Madeleine Vionnet, Paco Rabanne or Alexander McQueen. Among the standout pieces, a Schiaparelli evening jacket embroidered with mirrors and sequins, a Dior mousseline black dress adorned with gold playing-card motifs imagined under John Galliano, or a Chanel beige tweed suit from the 1960s.
At the same time, Choose Your Shoes: The Art of Dressing Your Feet traces the history of 20th‑century footwear. From Art Deco models by Hellstern to Salvatore Ferragamo's "invisible" sandals, from Dior pumps created by Roger Vivier to the futuristic silhouettes of André Courrèges, up to Maison Margiela's Tabi boots, the shoe stands out as a fashion statement in its own right.
Two exhibitions, one through-line: fashion that looks at itself up close, before going under the hammer.
