FRANCE-JAPAN FRIENDSHIP celebrates the artistic dialogue between France and Japan. Set in the prestigious Carré à la Farine in Versailles, the exhibition features over 170 contemporary works—paintings, sculptures, calligraphy, photographs, and artisan crafts—demonstrating the depth of cultural exchange between the two nations.
FRANCE–JAPAN FRIENDSHIP is a contemporary art exhibition celebrating the cultural ties between France and the Japan through the diversity of artistic expressions.
From July 15 to 19, 2026, the Carré à la Farine de Versailles will bring together Japanese and French artists for an artistic dialogue rooted in exchange, creation, and mutual discovery.
Paintings, calligraphy, sculptures, photographs, decorative arts and contemporary crafts form a rich program of more than 170 works.
Through a range of techniques and distinctive sensibilities, artists probe nature, memory, spirituality, light, and the invisible threads that connect cultures.
Organized in the heart of Versailles, this artistic encounter invites the public to discover the cross-cutting dialogue between tradition and contemporary creation, in a spirit of openness, peace, and sharing.
