Jérémy Pradier-Jeauneau doesn’t really go for small formats. After an exhibition at the Hôtel de la Marine in 2025, the artist and artistic director takes on another heavyweight of Parisian heritage: the Arc de Triomphe. This time again, the project accompanies Paris Design Week, before continuing its journey well beyond.
From September 9 to October 4, 2026, its new exhibition, titled The Storm, takes the form of a carte blanche from the Centre des monuments nationaux and will unfold as an ascent, moving visitors from interior spaces up to the terrace.
At every level, the setting shifts in mood and material. Abstract sculptures, installations, organic or architectural forms, and relocated domestic objects will converse with glass, ceramics, wood, metal, and textiles. The experience is complemented by sound works, spoken voices, and a scented trail guiding the visitor. Designed especially for the monument, with the involvement of artisan craftsmen.
At the heart of La Tempête, an idea that is far from short of air: emptiness. Jérémy Pradier-Jeauneau shifts from the absence of a sculpted group that should have crowned the Arc de Triomphe. Rather than filling that gap, he makes it the driving force of the exhibition, focusing on memory, mourning, transformation and renewal. A way of looking at the monument from a perspective where, precisely, the eye rarely lingers.
The route will culminate at the acrotère, a space at the very top, open to the public for the first time since the Arc de Triomphe’s inauguration in 1836. A specially designed installation for this unique venue will cap off the visit.
at the crossroads of art, design, fashion, and craft, Jérémy Pradier-Jeauneau began his career in film before founding the Pradier-Jeauneau gallery, dedicated to vintage and contemporary furniture. In 2025, he launches his own studio, focusing on art, interiors, scenography, curation, and artistic direction. Following the Hôtel de la Marine, he continues his close engagement with Paris’s grand monuments—this time with a view of the Champs-Élysées.
