Graffiti has its signatures, its figures, and its stories... Writers of Legends brings its sprays and its colors to the Goldshteyn-Saatort Gallery in Paris, for an exhibition dedicated to graffiti, its icons, and its narratives, from June 4 to July 4, 2026. For the opening, visitors are invited to discover, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the duo show of COPE2 and PRO176, two artists hailed as major figures in graffiti culture, who have come to Paris for the occasion. The opening (by registration only) on June 4 will also feature a live performance, conceived as a direct continuation of this exhibition dedicated to urban legends.
The exhibition starts from a simple idea: some stories are told in books, others are written on walls. From the Bronx to Paris, COPE2 and PRO176 have built their careers over time through painting, style, and experimentation. For Writers of Legends, they reveal a new series of works, where lettering, street energy, and graphic exploration remain at the center.
Alongside this duo, the gallery also presents Ito Chieko, a Japanese artist announced as the guest star of the exhibition. Her work opens up another imaginary realm, blending ancient myths, Japanese narratives, and more contemporary color tones. The piece Red Plum Blossom, created in 2026 on Japanese paper with mineral pigments, Suihi-enogu, acrylic, Chinese ink and Gohun pigment, offers a glimpse into this universe where figures from the past seem to dialogue with an urban aesthetic.
With Writers of Legends, the Goldshteyn-Saatort Gallery presents a gathering around graffiti seen as a memory in motion, carried by names, gestures and styles that span generations. Note that the opening is by reservation, with a catalog request possible at contact@galeriegs.com. An opportunity to see how graffiti moves from the street into the gallery without losing what makes it distinctive.
