Places to discover in the footsteps of France Gall and Michel Berger in Paris

78 rue de Monceau (8th arrondissement). In 1986, Michel Berger and France Gall moved into a beautiful Haussmann-style apartment near the Parc Monceau. The apartment is described as light-filled, with a piano, objects brought back from their travels and a space for musical creation at the heart of their life together.

The Villa Beauséjour (16th arrondissement), where the couple lived. In 1976, he welcomed Quebec singer Fabienne Thibeault, who had arrived in France for the Starmania project. Michel Berger's song Beauséjour refers to this villa.

Face B studio (17th arrondissement). Their musical collaboration included recordings in Paris, notably at the Face B studio. It is here that Michel Berger is said to have worked, in an intimate atmosphere, on projects with France Gall, notably Double Jeu. The studio is said to be located in a passageway near Boulevard des Batignolles.

Le Gang Recording Studio (5th arrondissement). Located at 12-14 boulevard de l'Hôpital, this is the studio where Michel Berger and France Gall recorded and mixed certain songs, including Débranche.

The allée France Gall and the allée Michel Berger (8th arrondissement). The allée Michel-Berger was inaugurated in 2012 in the Parc Monceau, while the allée France Gall was laid out to honor the singer's memory in 2019. The two walkways run alongside each other, symbolizing the couple's artistic and emotional union.

Montmartre cemetery (18th arrondissement). The place where their destinies meet is their joint grave at Montmartre Cemetery, in the 29ᵉ division. France Gall is laid to rest with Michel Berger and their daughter Pauline, in a rather... special grave!
