The Val d'Oise is taking part in the event Les Nuits des Forêts 2026 with a charming program! Calling all fauna and flora enthusiasts, families and curious crowds: it's time to go green. Slip on sturdy shoes, grab a light sweater for cooler weather, and don't forget your refillable water bottle to stay refreshed, then head into the forests of Val-d'Oise for about ten days of culture and nature in the 95.
Heads up: don’t forget to sign up in advance so you don’t miss the free activities and great deals in the department’s natural spaces, from June 6 to 21.
Wood-fired ceramic firing, building a wood-fired oven, and a twilight stroll; ceramics workshop, a guided tour and workshop in the woods, and refuge artworks.
On a stroll, come and discover the day-flying butterflies of the Marais de Stors Regional Nature Reserve. You’ll have the chance to spot these remarkable insects up close and learn more about them!
Enjoy a relaxing family moment in nature and discover our wild plant friends: learn to observe, smell, touch, and even taste them… See their shapes, textures, and colors… and build a keepsake herbarium. A sensory journey with interactive, playful activities for the joy of the little ones and the not-so-little ones alike! The walk will end with an organic, wild snack and a firsthand experience of the musical soundscape of wild plants. This activity is for children, but at least one accompanying adult is mandatory.
As night falls, follow the voices of Jean-Charles Bocquet, a nature enthusiast, together with naturalists and the sounds of the music school’s instruments under the coordination of Isabelle Conti, head of the music school. For a few hours, you can hear the forest, the water, and human activity in the lush, wild setting of Bois de la Pissote. Bring sturdy walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a flashlight or headlamp for the return.
A nature-sound walk: birdsong, the hum of insects, and the rustle of leaves and grasses—perhaps the call of a reptile. Guided by a five-sense approach, this session invites you to decode the environmental soundscape of nature on the fringe of the agricultural landscapes of the Plaine de France.
A pendant to take home, a nature card, or a piece of land art… Enjoy a sunset stroll to discover the Forest of Galluis in this unique dusky atmosphere and create something pretty! We’ll then share a light snack to chat about the experience.
The Nuits des Forêts are a real opportunity to understand the importance of our forests and help preserve them. Come and experience a wonderful adventure in the Val-d'Oise, and discover the richness of our forests.
