Attention, nature lovers and garden enthusiasts: the Rendez-vous aux Jardins event, the annual celebration showcasing the finest squares, parks, and gardens across France, returns on June 1st and 2nd, 2024. It’s a perfect opportunity to discover or revisit the exceptional gardens near you, the Main parks of the Île-de-France region, charming neighborhood community gardens, and botanical spaces... With an exciting lineup of activities: guided tours, strolls, entertainment, and creative workshops will make for a memorable day outdoors, but more than that, a unique chance to explore the region’s most beautiful green spaces in an entirely new way!
Located on rue de Crimée in the 19th arrondissement, the Saint-Serge of Radonège Orthodox Church stands out for its unique wooden painted architecture and its hidden, almost secretive location, which lends the site a true sense of privacy. Originally built as a German Lutheran church, it was transformed into an Orthodox worship space in 1925. Today, visitors can explore the interior respectfully during visiting hours on Sundays at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Surrounding this beautiful building, you'll find the Saint-Serge Garden, with a cozy bench ideal for a quick rest, reading, or chatting with passersby... During the Rendez-vous aux Jardins event, you'll have the chance to explore this hidden gem in the 19th arrondissement!
