In celebration of Rendez-vous aux Jardins 2026, take note: from June 5 to 7, many green spaces across Paris and Île-de-France will open their gates to the public for special occasions. These sites will offer free activities suitable for all ages! Expect walks, guided tours, exhibitions, , and a variety of other events. From well-known public gardens to hidden green treasures and grand departmental estates, the region's most beautiful outdoor spaces will host memorable experiences this weekend.
In Seine-Saint-Denis, near Montreuil, you may have already heard of the Murs à pêches (Peach Walls), a site which, as its name suggests, was used centuries ago to grow fruit trees using the ragged trellis technique. The Jardin du Côté des Roches Brunes is part of the Murs à pêches and a real hidden treasure worth discovering!
Located in a picturesque setting that almost feels like the countryside, this little-known garden features a vegetable garden, a pond, fruit trees, greenhouses... The winding paths, carefully landscaped plantings and majestic boulders create a bucolic atmosphere, perfect for relaxing in. What's more, the garden offers a panoramic view over the city of Montreuil, so you can take in the sights from this beautiful natural space. The Jardin du Côte des Roches Brunes is opening its doors especially for the Rendez-vous aux Jardins: now's the time to visit this secret and unusual spot east of Paris!
Open house at the Roches Brunes Garden in the Murs à Pêches neighborhood of Montreuil. Visitors can explore an old greenhouse, a pond, fruit trees, colorful flowers, and vegetable plots.
Plant swap and garden plant sales
This year's theme, following "The Five Senses in the Garden," focuses on Sight.
The Graines de Terre workshop-school presents, with contributions from students, a series of ceramic seed sculptures that play with scale to make these tiny botanical geniuses “visible.”
These mineral-inspired sculptures will be displayed throughout the garden, engaging in a dialogue with the enchanting environment of plants, trees, and flowers.
