For decades, the Fête des Petits Pois has brought together Clamart residents of all ages for a weekend or a full day of festivities that are especially family-friendly. Once a medieval fair and then a street arts festival, the Fête des Petits Pois has, since its last edition in 2023, been celebrating world cultures, with a different country highlighted each year. After India in 2023, Mexico in 2024 and Japan in 2025, Polynesia will be celebrated on June 6, 2026, for the Fête des Petits Pois de Clamart!
So, book a one-way trip to Papeete, Pirae, Pukapuka... and discover a culture far different from our Western world through shows, workshops for kids, free activities, and more. To make this possible, the town of Clamart is working hand in hand with the Francilienne Japanese community, associations, and French artists who are keen on Japanese traditions and ways of life.
As every year, head to Town Hall Square and the Maison Blanche park to discover the Village des Petits Pois and its highly immersive decor, where workshops, performances and activities take place all day. In the early evening, the grand Peas parade takes center stage, with a costume parade and traditional music! The celebration wraps up with a big dance party and DJ set starting at 10 p.m. All day long, you can even sample Polynesian street food from stalls and food trucks located inside the Village des Petits Pois.
The entire program is free, open and accessible to all (except for the catering, of course).
Join us in Clamart on June 1 for an immersion in Polynesia, without even leaving the inner suburbs of Paris!
