A summer-weekend air drifts over the Vésinet (78), with a gathering that speaks as much to fans of fine machinery as to outdoor enthusiasts: Sunday, July 5, 2026, the Parc des Ibis - Pelouse des Fêtes hosts the 3rd edition of the Vési-Rétro, the gathering of classic and prestige cars organized by the merchants' association. A timeless interlude where chrome meets the plane trees and nostalgia rolls in a convertible.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., this postcard‑perfect green setting becomes a meeting point for vintage vehicles and prestige models. The event is open to everyone: cars over 30 years old or newer models, with or without registration. The aim is simple: bring together enthusiasts and give the public a chance to discover rare vehicles in a single space.
From early morning, visitors are greeted with coffee and pastries, in a warm, welcoming atmosphere fostered by the merchants of Le Vésinet. Throughout the day, a collection-vehicle exhibition is on display in the Parc du Lac des Ibis.
To accompany the stroll, tasty breaks arrive in the form of a food truck, a drinks stand, and a merchants’ picnic, a chance to fuse a love of cars with culinary delights.
In the early afternoon, a guided walking tour is led by Jean-Paul Debeaupuis, a historian with the Société d’Histoire du Vésinet, who presents the site's history as well as that of the villas lining the lake. Finally, rides in vintage cars offer visitors the chance to step aboard iconic models and see these vehicles in motion.
