After six years cooped up in the stalls, the Hippodrome de Maisons-Laffitte, in the Yvelines (78), is finally back in business. On Friday, May 15, 2026, this 70-hectare behemoth along the Seine will reopen its gates for a highly anticipated comeback!
It’s worth noting that the track had already buzzed in September 2025 during “Fête vos Jeux,” the first festive return to the saddle—featuring pony races, games, and family activities along the legendary home stretch.
The site's history runs much deeper. As far back as the 17th century, Mansart conceived lavish stables for the château. Later, the Count of Artois brought English-style racing to France here, laid out a track along the Seine, and installed an 80-horse English-style stable. Today, Maisons-Laffitte stands as one of the historic capitals of flat racing.
This time, we’re getting down to business. In the saddle with AKTEM, the French auction house for racehorses, May 15 unfolds in two acts. Starting at 2 p.m., the public is invited to attend a horse sale, on the eve of the Grand Steeple of Auteuil.
Then at 8:30 p.m., the pace changes: Bob Sinclar takes the stage for a private concert. The classics Love Generation and World, Hold On are expected to electrify the stands in an unprecedented nocturnal atmosphere. On the paddock side, 200 free spots are reserved for the Mansonniens to watch the show. Registrations open this Saturday, April 25 at the Office de Tourisme (one seat per person, with proof), through May 5… or until the last ticket is claimed.
On your marks: Maisons-Laffitte is back in the running!
