A few months ago, La Table d'Alice moved into the pretty Place Saint-Symphorien in Versailles in the Yvelines, replacing the former Mélodi. We went to check out this new concept and we approve: the homemadebrunch is available every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for €27 or €29 with dessert. The highlight? The soufflé pancake, inspired by the Pascade from southwestern France, an ultra-light and fluffy pancake that we absolutely love.
The restaurant is spread over two floors. Downstairs, there is a large counter where hot drinks are made and a display case of homemade pastries. There are a few seats where people can sit and enjoy coffee and pastries, with the option of bringing their laptop. Upstairs, the room is divided into different areas with tables of various sizes to suit all types of guests. We love the modern decor and the light-filled space.
What we love about La Table d'Alice's Versailles brunch is that everything is truly homemade. Here, the fries don't come out of a bag of frozen food, the dishes are prepared to order, the hot chocolate is made the old-fashioned way, just the way we like it, and as a bonus, you can discover these famous soufflé pancakes, which are a real change from classic brunches. It's nice to find a place that doesn't compromise on quality.
The brunch menu is set at $27. We start with a hot drink, orange juice or iced tea, accompanied by a trio of mini pastries. Then comes the star of the show: the soufflé pancake, available in savory or sweet versions. On the savory side, there are three options to choose from: the Bénédicte with smoked pork belly, Comté AOP cheese, poached egg, and hollandaise sauce; the homemade salmon gravlax with poached egg and dill cream cheese; or the Avocado with creamy avocado, fried halloumi, pomegranate, and hollandaise sauce. For those with a sweet tooth, there are two choices: the Chocolate version with 64% ganache, whipped cream, cocoa crumble, and ice cream, or the 100% Fruit version with an assortment of fresh fruit cut to order, whipped cream, coulis, and sorbet.
A little bonus starting November 8, 2025: for an extra €2, you can indulge in a salted butter caramel brioche. To accompany the pancake, choose between homemade fries, salad, or fromage blanc with fruit coulis. It's hearty, it's good, and above all , everything is homemade with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
What we like about La Table d'Alice is first and foremost the atmosphere. The place is bright, with a terrace on Place Saint-Symphorien that's perfect for enjoying sunny days. You can drop in at any time, even on weekdays, for a coffee and a sweet treat at the counter. The homemade menu is clearly a hit, as the restaurant is often full, a sign that it has already found its fans.
La Table d'Alice doesn't just offer brunch. The place is open all day: you can drop in in the morning for breakfast on the terrace, at lunchtime for well-thought-out seasonal cuisine (100% French beef, buns from the local baker, homemade fries), or in the late afternoon for homemade tapas and a cold beer. The lunch menu features generous dishes, salads, and desserts made on site.
The restaurant joined the Collège Culinaire de France in 2025, a label that recognizes the work put into the products and homemade dishes. It's always reassuring to see that a restaurant takes its job seriously.
Place Saint-Symphorien is the authentic Versailles, far from the tourist hustle and bustle of the palace. The Montreuil neighborhood retains its popular and discreet charm that appeals to locals. Easily accessible from Paris, it is just a few minutes' walk from the city center and monuments. After brunch, you can stroll through the streets of the neighborhood or head to Avenue de Paris, which leads directly to the Palace of Versailles.
To make a reservation, call +33 (0)1 61 12 00 92 or visit their website. We recommend booking, especially on weekends, as it fills up quickly. Prices are €27 for the full brunch and €29 with dessert. Fair for the quality and thesoufflé pancake, which is a real change from classic brunches.
In short, if you're looking for a place to brunch in the Yvelines without falling into the tourist trap, La Table d'Alice does the job: fresh, homemade products, the famous soufflé pancake inspired by Pascade, and a cool atmosphere on a pretty square in the Montreuil district. A great discovery to be made in Versailles.
