This weekend, September 13 and 14, 2025, Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne hosts the 18th edition of Terre Avenir. Over 50 eco-responsible exhibitors, DIY workshops, an educational farm and horse-drawn carriage rides await you free of charge in the Seine-et-Marne region. Make the most of it!

The Terre Avenir Festival returns to Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne in Seine-et-Marne (77) for an 18th edition that promises to be particularly rich. On Saturday September 13 and Sunday September 14, 2025, more than 50 exhibitors, producers, craftsmen and committed associations will be on hand to share their experiences and fill up on good eco-responsible ideas. This year, the SMICTOM de la Région de Fontainebleau is highlighting the preservation of natural resources, a crucial issue of our time.

The event takes place in an ideal setting, between the Stade Scolaire Alexandre Chevrier and the Salle Polyvalente Bernard Ridoux, in the commune of Veneux-Les Sablons. Admission is free on both days, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., making it a family outing accessible to all.

A varied program to raise awareness while having fun

Once again this year, the festival has a great program in store for young and old alike:

  • horse-drawn carriage rides for fresh air,
  • petting animals onan educational farm,
  • anti-waste workshops to learn the right reflexes,
  • smoothie bike to pedal and enjoy,
  • making sourdough bread, ecological detergent and deodorant,
  • discovery of wild plants,
  • vegetable printing,
  • birdhouses,
  • musical instruments,
  • escape game on sorting and reuse,
  • and guided tours of the Jardin des Noues.

These hands-on workshops provide a gentle way of learning simple everyday gestures to reduce our environmental impact. Theescape game dedicated to sorting and reuse is smart and fun, and particularly popular with families. Gourmets won't be outdone by the sourdough bread-making workshops, which smell delicious right down the aisles, while homemade enthusiasts can learn how to make natural hygiene products.

The composting area is well worth a visit. Free self-service compost distribution is planned, so don't forget to bring your own container. This initiative is perfectly in keeping with the zero-waste approach encouraged by the event, and it's a smart way to leave with good soil for your garden.

Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne, a dream setting for an eco-responsible festival

Located on the edge of the Fontainebleau forest, on the banks of the Loing and close to the confluence of the Seine, Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne offers a truly exceptional natural setting for this event dedicated to the environment. The commune, 12 km south-east of Fontainebleau, is within easy reach of Paris, and makes an ideal country getaway for a September weekend that smacks of autumn.

This medieval town, immortalized by Impressionist painter Alfred Sisley, continues to seduce us with its ramparts, fortified gates and romantic banks of the Loing. The town's proximity to Fontainebleau also makes it easy to combine a visit to the festival with a visit to the château or a stroll in the forest to digest all these eco-responsible discoveries.

An event that grows from strength to strength

Each year, the festival welcomes between 3,000 and 4,000 visitors and has established itself as the region's must-attend sustainable development event. For this year's event, some sixty partners are waiting for us: institutions, committed associations, passionate volunteers and professionals who are moving the lines for the region.

This 18th edition of the Terre Avenir Festival promises to be a great opportunity to discover concrete solutions for adopting a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle, while enjoying a family weekend in one of Seine-et-Marne's most beautiful sites.

In practical terms, it's very simple: on September 13 and 14, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Stade Scolaire Alexandre Chevrier, rue Claude Bernard, and at the Salle Polyvalente Bernard Ridoux, rue du Port, in the Veneux-Les Sablons commune of Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne. Admission is entirely free, which makes for a successful family outing. Enjoy your discoveries!
