In the Seine-Saint-Denis département, near Aulnay-sous-Bois and Villepinte, you'll find the second largest park in the département: the Parc Départemental du Sausset.

With its huge 200-hectare surface area, Parc du Sausset was created in 1981 in the Seine-Saint-Denis towns ofAulnay-sous-Bois and Villepinte. Designed to offer walkers and local residents a relaxing break in the heart of nature, Parc du Sausset also features a beautiful pond,Etang de Savigny, and large lawns, perfect for lounging in the sun on sunny days.

Within easy reach of the Navigo pass from Villepinte station (RER B), the park is perfect for an outdoor outing: with its rich flora and fauna, its remarkable tall trees and its "prés carrés" - vast lawns designed for relaxation - the Parc du Sausset is one of those great parks where you love to stroll, jog, picnic and so on. You're sure to find moorhens, coots, rushes and other birds swimming on the Savigny pond, amid the water lilies. A bridge spans the pond, in a nod to Monet's famous water lilies in his Giverny garden.
