The 42nd Journées du Patrimoine in Paris takes place over the weekend of September 20-21, 2025. On this occasion, museums, monuments, castles and major institutions open their doors to reveal the richness and beauty of Île-de-France's heritage.
It's also an opportunity to (re)discover thehistory of the parks and gardens of Paris and the whole of theÎle-de-France region, and to be surprised by some of the most hidden corners of greenery. From the largest cemetery in Paris to the most beautiful châteaux and secret gardens, there's plenty of fresh air to be had during the Journées du Patrimoine 2025!
Every year, the European Heritage Days give us the opportunity to visit the most beautiful sites in France and neighbouring countries, free of charge or at a reduced cost. This major cultural event is an opportunity to push open the doors of monuments usually closed to the public, or to rediscover those we thought we already knew by heart.
