In the Hauts-de-Seine department, in the communes of Gennevilliers and Villeneuve-la-Garenne, there's a huge green space: the Parc des Chanteraines, which offers a beautiful green setting for local residents, sports enthusiasts and children looking for a place to let off steam.

The name Chanteraines definitely echoes the tree frogs that once populated the Parc des Chanteraines, named in homage to this beautiful past. Expanded by ten hectares between 2010 and 2012, the park now covers an area of 82 hectares! With its valleys and large lawns, the park is both intimate and allows you to discover the artificial lake that lies within, the water games in summer, thewalking area along the Seine... The area is so large that it is divided into sectors: les Mariniers, les Louvresses, les Fiancés, etc. The park is also rich in flora and fauna, with a variety of protected bird species, such as common terns, garden creepers and mallard ducks, all found around Lac des Tilliers. You can observe them discreetly from the bird observatories set up all around the lake.

It's the perfect place for a picnic or a stroll in fine weather, with paths accessible to baby carriages and wheelchairs, or a jog in an idyllic setting to recharge your batteries... With the kids, we're particularly fond of the Chanteraines educational farm, with its barn, henhouse, goat barn and numerous furry and feathered residents, ready to welcome you and your family as you stroll through the park. A Guignol theater (for a fee) also offers performances for young children throughout the year. For train buffs, it's also possible to discover the Parc des Chanteraines from a more unusual angle, aboard the park railroad!
