Humming, barking, neighing ... On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the world's most beautiful avenue will change its soundtrack. On that day, the March of the Animals will put its paws, hooves and whiskers on the Champs-Élysées! Meet at 2pm at the Champs-Élysées traffic circle, with the procession departing at 3pm for the Arc de Triomphe. It's the first Sunday of the month, so the avenue will already be pedestrianized. Perfect timing!
Launched in 2022 in Nice by journalist and city councillor Henri-Jean Servat, this urban version of Noah's Ark is now making its mark in the capital, with the support of mairie du 8e, Paris City Hall and the Fête des Animaux. Its ambition? To pay tribute to our companions in life, and remind us loud and clear that they deserve respect, consideration and good treatment.
In the space of two years, the march has grown from 500 animals in the first parade in Nice, to a bevy of dogs, cats, horses and llamas, reaching 2,000 participants on April 6 along the Promenade des Anglais. In Paris, the organizers would also like to see the horses of the Garde Républicaine march alongside animal protection associations and the general public. The event is open to all, free of charge and with no registration required.
And if your paws are itching for more, make a note of November 16, 2025: the capital will host the much-anticipated Paris Sausage Walk.
