The Nights of Reading are returning to Paris from January 21 to 25, 2026 for a special anniversary edition themed “Cities and Countryside.” Over five evenings, the capital transforms into a vast open-air library where museums and cultural centers invite visitors to gather, share the thrill of stories, and celebrate the richness of contemporary literary creation.
The Institut du Monde Arabe will be taking part in the Nuits de la lecture on January 25th, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, with an evening designed to transport you around the world. Instantly recognizable by its intricate metal lattice façade reminiscent of moucharabiehs, the Institute stands as a cultural bridge tying France to the Arab world. Nestled along the Seine, this multidisciplinary hub is a unique space where visual arts, music, and intellectual exchange come together. Its library, a tranquil sanctuary spanning multiple floors, provides an ideal setting for escape and study of Arab civilizations.
