Starting Monday, January 26, 2026 at 5:38 PM, beneath the viaduct of Line 6 in the 13th arrondissement, between the Nationale and Chevaleret stations, Paris is set to come alive with lights and sounds. L’Heure Bleue will unveil dusk’s magic: an immersive sound and light show starting at 5:30 PM, where illumination and music turn the concrete into a stage and the sky into a spotlight. Each beam, each note invites visitors to a one-hour sensory journey, before the viaduct resumes its historic lighting.
Winner of the 2024 Participatory Budget, which enables Parisians to co-develop city projects, this initiative was championed by the APAPUC association (Association for the Promotion of Contemporary Visual and Urban Arts). It is part of the open-air street art museum, "Boulevard Paris 13".
Created by Jean-Hervé Vidal and Olivier Mellano, L’Heure Bleue explores the interplay of shadows, colors, and sounds to craft an immersive visual and auditory experience. The technical setup, meanwhile, allows for different configurations to enhance celebrations and events held beneath the viaduct, adjusting the lighting and sound to suit each occasion.
L’Heure Bleue captures the shimmering Paris that resonates and comes alive—a cityscape caught between sky and concrete, offering a fleeting, suspended moment at twilight.
