When culture goes green, the result is the Rendez-Vous aux Jardins, a standout moment on the calendar inviting us to discover a host of activities and often free tours in the heart of both private and public gardens. Each year, as the days grow longer, all of Île-de-France answers the call, and it’s a chance to explore this remarkable botanical heritage. This edition runs over the weekend of 5–7 June 2026 in Essonne, giving us the opportunity to dive into the heart of an unusual site, labeled Jardin Remarquable: Parc Boussard, in Lardy.

The Boussard Park, in Lardy (Essonne), is one of the few Art Deco gardens in Île-de-France. The park’s standout feature is its Art Deco spirit. Art Deco is indeed one of the few landscaped examples that embody this architectural movement. Created in 1927, it was designed by the renowned architect Joseph Marrast, and it reveals geometric forms that are characteristic of the style. It underwent a full renovation in 2022: the now-protected site is open to visitors who can freely explore this verdant landscape, which can sometimes evocatively recall the atmosphere of a Mediterranean garden.
