This spring, the Sauvabus association invites you to travel back in time. On Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2026, come relive the route of the former Balabus historic line, linking Gare de Lyon to La Défense. A chance to traverse several of the capital’s iconic tourist sites aboard a SC10 UMA with a platform.

In September 2015, the mythical Balabus line said its farewells, leaving true enthusiasts of historic public transport vehicles in a state of disarray. Created on April 15, 1990, between Gare de Lyon and La Défense, this Balabus line operated only on Sundays and public holidays from April to September. Its mission? To offer a genuine touristic stroll through Paris.

This spring, nostalgia fans will be able to hop aboard the famous SC10 UMA two-floor (platform) bus thanks to Sauvabus. This association, founded in 1980 by a small group of enthusiasts, works to safeguard, restore, and showcase old public transport vehicles , mainly buses that ran on the RATP network and in other French cities.

On Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2026, the Sauvabus association invites you to rediscover the Balabus line, "as it stood in the mid-1990s, with a route inspired by 1994," organizers note. Linking Gare de Lyon in Paris to the business district of La Défense in Hauts-de-Seine, the SC10 UMA with flat platform will traverse several of the capital’s iconic spots, including the Place de la Bastille, the Hôtel de Ville de Paris, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Museum, Saint-Michel, the National Assembly, Place de la Concorde, the Champs-Élysées, and the Arc de Triomphe.

During a round trip, travelers can enjoy a genuine tour of the capital, weaving together its heritage and memories, or a discovery tailored for younger visitors.

Interested in this experience? Please note that reservations are mandatory and spaces are limited. The Saturday, May 30 time slots (10:00 and 16:00) are already fully booked. However, there are still spots available for Sunday, May 31 at 10:00. Tickets cost 15 euros for ages 15 and up, 5 euros for children 6–14, and 10 euros for members of the association. Children under 6 go free.
