As part of the National Dog Week 2026, the town hall of Drancy is hosting the 4th edition of its Animal Festival, scheduled for Saturday, October 3 at the heart of the Ladoucette Municipal Park. It’s an opportunity for the whole family to learn about the animal welfare cause and well-being, especially concerning dogs, through free-entry meet-and-greets and activities, all in the company of your four-legged friend.
Throughout the day, visitors will have the chance to meet animal-welfare groups, professionals, dog trainers, behaviorists, animal-rescue responders, and a range of specialized exhibitors. Demonstrations, interactive workshops, fun activities, and family-friendly entertainment will help attendees better understand the needs of animals and strengthen the bond between people and their animal companions.
You’ll get to explore the world of dogs through a series of playful and educational activities: agility, treibball, proprioception, nosework, a ball-pool, and a life-saving techniques workshop led by HumAnimale. The youngest visitors can also take part in a PECCRAM awareness session to learn how to better understand and respect dogs.
A Dog Snack Stand and a Dog Bar will be available all day so your pets can treat themselves too! But dogs won’t be the only animals on hand that day. Thanks to the association Les Bossus Du Haut Marnais, you’ll have the chance to encounter something a little more exotic with the presence of two dromedaries!
Les Bêtes à Tâches will offer a discovery and mediation space around 5 poneys, where children and adults can form a privileged bond during a moment of calm. The Ferme Pédagogique de Ladoucette will be on hand to talk about animaux de la ferme with playful activities around rural life.
