Disney Village continues its transformation, just steps from Disneyland Paris... The site is undergoing a progressive overhaul that began in 2021, tied to the massive investment that started in 2018 to shape the resort’s evolution. At the forefront is the overhaul of the Walt Disney Studios, which will become Disney Adventure World on March 29, 2026. And there’s also a broader ambition tied to the resort’s transformation: a thorough rethink of the village’s look and its offering, across a footprint of more than 40,000 square metres.
Disney Village is reinventing itself to come alive from morning to night. By day, visitors can shop, grab a bite, or enjoy the entertainment on offer. After dark, thousands of lights will bathe the district in a new glow. The lakeside areas will also be redesigned, with a promenade, more pleasant walkways, and more greenery, providing a welcome break before or after a day at Disneyland Paris.
"Our project to reshape Disney Village shows once again how we’re continuing to reinvent our destination, aligned with the multi-year expansion program we’ve launched at Walt Disney Studios Park," explained Natacha Rafalski, former president of Disneyland Paris. She continued: "We’re excited to enrich Disney Village with new iconic and timeless concepts that will appeal to a new generation of visitors—from the hotels at our destination and from nearby towns. We can’t wait to surprise and delight our guests with all these new offerings."
On December 2, 2022, Greg Ashton, the project's chief architect, will say more, explaining that he was inspired by the Parisian art of living:"Our team wasn't inspired by a single, specific location. It was primarily interested in the active, dynamic lifestyle that our visitors are looking for". Thechallenge," he continues,"is to integrate this dimension into the Disneyland Paris context and make it viable all year round.
He continues,"For Disney Village, our approach is more focused on celebrating the stories and experiences that visitors love so much." He concludes by explaining that this new Disney Village will include"illuminations, music and a series of original art installations that represent our characters and stories in contemporary styles".
The Café Mickey, located near Disney's Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, has been completely transformed into a typically Parisian brasserie run by the Bertrand group. Named Rosalie, this new contemporary brasserie now offers traditional cuisine combining regional diversity and seasonal produce, as well as the best of French art de vivre, in a resolutely modern and elegant setting. The brasserie also offers an écailler.
The 500-seat restaurant opened its doors in December 2023. Table service will be offered, complemented by counter service, with a full range of viennoiseries and products from French bakeries. A terrace overlooking Lake Disney is also planned.
Opposite Rosalie, The Royal Pub opened in February 2023, replacing King Ludwig's Castle. A restaurant in the purest tradition of British pubs, offering the best of English gastronomy! Guinness beef, pies, finger food, fish & chips... A real treat! And of course, the restaurant also offers an English breakfast!
The restaurant remained open during Rosalie's refurbishment, allowing visitors to enjoy lunch in complete peace of mind. The decor is in keeping with the British pub theme, with plenty of reminders of the local London pub.
And in place of Planet Hollywood, which is currently being demolished, there will be a brand new restaurant serving Italian cuisine. With the sweet name of Casa Giulia, it will offer table service as well as takeaway options. It is scheduled to open at the end of 2026.
For the next phase, it’s Jean-Marc Mounet this time, the senior project manager overseeing the transformation of Disney Village, who offered a briefing. This is the storefront façade of the Disney Fashion Junior shop: "This will be the first of many new facades along the street. It will also serve as a concept test, meaning we can use it to test and refine our design and construction techniques for the facades to come", he says.
Regarding Disney Style and Disney Glamour, the shops have been welcoming visitors since March 8, 2025, offering fashion, accessories, and jewelry through collaborations, as well as home goods. Inside Disney Style, fans will find plenty of references to Edna Mode, the talented and quirky designer of The Incredibles, especially in the store’s branding and décor. You can even personalise certain items at a dedicated corner, or pause for macarons between purchases.
Regarding Disney Glamour, the boutique completes the lineup with a refined range of jewelry, clothing, and accessories, featuring signature pieces as well as brand capsule collections. When people think fashion, they also think home decor! This is what deco by Disney has been offering since April 2025, with a wealth of home products for all interior-design enthusiasts. On the program: decorative objects, limited-edition Disney collectibles, and the option to print Disney artworks with the Art on Demand service.
Sports fans aren’t left out... Just beside the Sports Bar & Lounge, a shop dedicated to football has welcomed visitors since May 2026. Pelé Soccer now offers a full range of jerseys and other athletic gear, echoing the shops found at Downtown Disney and Disney Springs in the United States.
"As part of the transformation of Disney Village, we wanted to offer a totally new shopping experience to surprise our visitors," explainsJean-David Marque, Director of Merchandise & Retail at Disneyland Paris. He continues: "We wanted to offer unique and exclusive products, collaborations, personalization and much more".
Regarding the LEGO Store (which opened 10 years ago), the shop has been upgraded and, starting April 19, 2025, will feature entrance sculptures, popular LEGO products exclusive to the Disney Village, and interactive installations. And from September 22, 2026, it will be Disney Wonders (formerly the Disney Store) inviting visitors in, bringing together merchandise and collections from across all Disney realms (led by Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar).
Note that the façade will also echo elements from the franchises mentioned above, and the interior will feature "two magnificent central chandeliers, each consisting of no fewer than 40 works depicting numerous iconic characters and locations", as explained in a press release unveiled on April 12, 2026.
Regarding Annette's Diner, it is undergoing a full renovation, with no changes to the façade or the 1950s atmosphere. Work began on January 5, 2026. In short, this is the perfect chance to rediscover the village and its shops, and to enjoy the moment with family or friends!
