Disneyland Paris continues transforming its second park with a sweeping expansion powered by a €2 billion investment. This large-scale project, launched in 2019, is giving birth to Disney Adventure World and several new realms dedicated to Marvel, Frozen, and The Lion King, with openings already planned since July 20, 2022. After World of Frozen, the transformation work at Disneyland Paris continues apace. In 2018, the Parisian resort marked a turning point with the announcement of a 2-billion-euro investment aimed at expanding and reconfiguring its second park, the Walt Disney Studios. "This expansion plan represents one of the most ambitious developments in the entire history of Disneyland Paris since its opening in 1992," explained Bob Iger, then CEO of The Walt Disney Company, in the presence of President Emmanuel Macron.
The American executive also stated: "It reflects The Walt Disney Company's long-term commitment to making the destination the showcase for the Disney brand in Europe."
