Douceurs capitales, the new vegetarian coffee shop in Square Gardette

Since this summer, Douceurs Capitales has been spreading its cute little terrace in front of Square Gardette, in the heart of the 11th arrondissement. This vegetarian coffee shop, opened by Alice, offers artisanal coffees from Coutume, French pastries and savory delights, all homemade, in a warm and cosy setting.

After spending a month in Australia, Alice, a young consultant with a passion for patisserie, decided to take the plunge and open her own coffee shop in the heart of the 11th arrondissement. After training with Yann Couvreur and Coutume Café, Douceurs Capitales was born! On the menu, there's no banana bread, carrot cake or brownies, just typically French desserts that are as regressive as you could wish for: madeleines, quatre-quarts, fig and almond tarts.... All products are fresh and in season, and the entire menu is homemade.

On the savoury side, the menu proves once again that it's possible to indulge in vegetarian pleasures: tartines that change every week, savoury tarts, seasonal bowls... This week in September, it was jacket sweet potatoe with Greek yoghurt, lemon zest and soft-boiled egg, a real treat! We also particularly recommend Romain's cookies with fleur de sel and hazelnuts, with their absolutely inimitable taste.

A cosy address, where it's just as good to curl up inside as it is to sunbathe on the small terrace when the weather permits. A must-try!
