If the Besties Bakery experience began on the Internet, with donut boxes delivered all over France, it continues in Paris at a too-cute address on rue des Bernardins. All in pastel pink, with flowers in the front and a Gobelins teddy bear as a customer, this adorable donut store focuses on recipes as crazy as they are good.
Every month, 9 unusual and exclusive donut recipes are on offer, selling for between 3.5 and 4 euros depending on the recipe. At the time of our visit, these included a tiramisu donut, a violet donut, a mango-passion donut, another decorated with marshmallows, or, more classic, a speculoos donut... Soft and gourmet, sometimes with special flavors, they can be enjoyed on the road with an espresso, café latte or hot chocolate (at 2.8 euros, please!).
With its location, Besties Bakery targets students, as it makes them venture into this small alley. But it's worth the effort. The bulk of sales are still made on the Internet, where a dozen other recipes are offered year-round. The only small regret is that the donuts offered in the store are not the same as those on the internet. We would have loved to have tasted the hazelnut donut, the lemon meringue donut, the salted butter caramel donut, the bounty donut or the coffee donut! But to be lucky enough to taste these marvels, you have to place your order before 10 a.m., for delivery the next day before 6 p.m. in Paris and throughout France via Chronofresh.
At 21 euros for a box of 6 doughnuts, and 40 euros for 12, ceal is a great idea for birthday parties or tea parties!
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
